Our Radical Rescues

Radical rescue of marginal cats is an emotional roller coaster, both exhausting and exhilarating. With all we've seen and done in nearly 100 years (collectively) of rescue, the suffering and desperation of the abandoned, ill and injured have marked us forever... but, like our victories, they have also inspired us to keep going. Rescue offers a profound existential connection: each cat we save is a victory for us, not only as individuals, but as a collective. Rescue requires a village, and our small but mighty Coalition and our caring supporters look forward to many years of successful work — together. Since our founding three years ago, NCC has saved dozens of individual cats in crisis throughout Far NorCal and conducted many major colony missions: here are the stories of some of our most memorable rescues.
