The Frisco Kid

On a chilly December morning, three-week-old gray-and-white tuxedo baby Frisco was found deep inside an engine of a wrecked car with no mamacat in sight. He had survived overnight, but he was the coldest kitten we’d ever held and one of the skinniest.

Frisco warmed up and took to the bottle like a champ, but the following day he developed a upper respiratory tract infection and began to fade fast. Concerned, our favorite veterinarian Doc Sargeant gave us a powerful antibiotic that saved one of our bottle babies the year before when nothing else worked.

Throughout a sleepless night, we worried, watched, and waited... Then Frisco rallied, and by the following afternoon was brighter than ever.

He grew into a super-sweet boy with a loud purr... along with some residual digestive issues. So he went to our wonderful neonate-specialist partner rescue, Kitten Central of Placer County, for the expert care he needed. He was later adopted by an especially cat-savvy family.
